Peace and Reconciliation -  A celebration of Friendship

Categories:

1. Drawing. Up to 6 years old
What do you understand by reconciliation? Highlight the values of friendship and affection in your family and at your school.

2. Poster & Slogan. 7 to 12 years old.
The process of reconciliation is focused on the promotion of communication and the engagement between cultures, races, religions, political orientations, ideologies.... How can we achieve a mutual understanding despite our different points of view?

3. Mural. 13 to 15 years old.
The United Nations plays a major role in the prevention of conflict and in the reestablishment of peace and reconciliation. There is not a single model of reconciliation and that is why we would like you to give us ideas and ask you to paint about acts related to reconciliation and the promotion of friendship.

4. Photography. 16 to 18 years old.
As we all know, we learn by imitation, and that is why we ask you to send us pictures of situations or examples from everyday life which show acts of reconciliation and friendship. Be an example for everyone!

5. Teachers
Teachers take an important part in the development of social skills of students. The process of reconciliation can only be sustainable if it is inclusive and guarantees that all social stakeholders form an equal part of it.
The values of equality and equity have to be omnipresent within the action of education.
We suggest organizing a “Celebration of Friendship” where students reconcile with each other and learn to live together despite their differences.
The teachers will be in charge of organizing this symbolic event and are asked to send pictures and videos of the celebration.
